What’s so big of Manisha Koirala’s Marriage after all?

I am still confused. Was Manisha koirala Marriage a Bollywood or Nepali event to get so much attraction? I consent that some last posts of Manisha Koirala marriage in Nepali blogger (this blog) were definitely from view of a Nepali event but with significant buzz of the event I became more suspicious.
First this “Manisha Koirala Marriage” event was so popular that it happened to be the 8th most searched term on Google for the last day. It was of course hard for my eyes to believe that seeing on Google trends. It was another Nepali event that happened to be most popular on Google search after the giant term “Girija Prasad Koira Dies”. And most Indian websites that had featured the marriage were the ones to create significant buzz in web space. Some Nepali blogs notably, Xnepali, MySansar and this blog also shared the part of the web traffic for the term.

That was just my internet perspective to reveal how popular the event was on web sphere. Now let’s just pop into the actual marriage scenes which were no less pompous than the web. The event was worth of huge gossips with all those showbiz actors from Bollywood and Kollywood (Nepali Movie Industry). Although the guest list had many popular Bollywood names, some that were reported to be present at the event were lshan Grover, Vivek Mushran (her co-star in her debut movie Saudaagar), Suman Ranganathan and Dipti Nawal. Noted Kollywood faces include Bhuwan KC, Neer Shah, and Shiva Shrestha among others. It was a good mix of the actors from two movie industries which can hardly be compared.

Manisha happens to be lucky to categorize herself in two great industries; one Bollywood and the other Nepali politics. The latter was gifted by her birth while the former was something she struggled to create out of her own. Movies that created name and fame in the Bollywood industry include Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s love saga 1942: A Love Story (1994) and Mani Ratnam’s Tamil drama Bombay (1995). A few others such as Dil Se, Company also make her popular movies list.
And she hails from the big politics name in Nepal, the Koirala family. Manisha is daughter of Prakash Koirala and nephew of late Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala. So how could we not expect the big leaders of Nepal at the event? Prachanda was also at the event, let alone others. (See the image below)

Other political leaders included Sujata Koirala, Ser Bahadur Deuwa, Ram Sharan Mahat, Bharat Mohan Adhikari, Krishna Sitaula, Subash Chandra Newang, Nilambar Acharya, Govinda Raj Joshi, Bijaya Kumar Gachhedar, Prakash Man Singh, Pashupati Samsher JBR, and Upendra Yadav.

Koirala’s realtions with the Shah dynasty of rulers in Nepal has always been a good one. The Presence of former king Gyanendra Shah and her wife at the event also adds to the justification. (see the Image below)

Oh did I miss Mr Samrat Dahal in the whole gossip? All I know is that Mr Dahal is involved with a family business of shoe manufacturing in Nepal and has completed Master’s Degree in Alternative Energy from US.
From internet traffic sharing to event venue sharing, Manisha Koirala Marriage became both Nepali and Indian mix. All we can agree is that it was a Nepali-Indian event just like the actor is known for the “Nepali-Indian” term on her Wikipedia page.
